Ingy,
Sorry to hear of your predicament. Can't you just feel the Chrislike Love?
This is a hard one, but you will get through this and be a better person for it.
Best wishes.
i just came from what will probably be the last conversation i'll ever have with my father.
earlier in the day, i'd talked to my mom and she asked what i was up to - translated "what are you doing with yourself since you aren't going to meetings or out in service?
" i told her i'd been discussing the bible with an informal group of people and reading older wts literature.

my family spends a lot of time on grooming our lawn, hedges and flowerbeds.
we live near a main street and there is a path beside our house that is often used by dog owners as part of their dog walk.. i don't know how many times i've watched people allow their dogs to urinate on our hedges and defecate on our grass, when the public park is just a few feet away.
they think that poop-n-scooping is the limit of their duty of neighbourliness.. today, i had enough.
I totally with you. In my city theres a code that people are suppose to pick up after their animals but many don't.
unbelievable.... matters presented were really disturbing and hurting... not that information presented in this book is new, but i didn't think it could be this bad... .
especially thins one.. a letter written by the society to all circuit and district overseers.
(p.293)keep in mind that to be disfellowshipped, an apostate does not have to be a promoter of apostate views.
I was surprised to find that Ray wasn't bitter and vindictive, but presented very well-documented and researched facts.
And in my experience, thats exactly the opposite of what active jw's will say he is and does. And they don't even bother reading it for themselves.
.
if you are celebrating christmas do not x christ out of it.. if you are celebrating christmas do you know why???.

.
ok, i keep coming across vague references to jw fear of these,.
please explain what are the actual factual stories,.
so today, after the meeting, one of the elders from my jc walks up to me and my mother and asks if we had time to talk.
thankfully, i had to get to work, and mom wasn't feeling great.
we said today wasn't good.. so basiccally he said that he and another brother want to meet with us on wednsday night, after the tms, to "see how things are going".. so here's quandry:.
I hope you get the satisfaction you desire. Hang tuff kid.
we've already got some "most hated" threads on here, like "most hated bible verse" or "most hated meeting", don't know if there's another thread on metaphors/analogies.
one of the most used analogies used is the "jehovah's like a loving father holding your hand and leading you, you can trust him like a little child trusts his father".
i don't know how often i heard that one.
Meetings are like your five fingers. Which ones don't you need?
Meetings are like stepping stones across a swift river. How many can you skip.
my cousin, a non-jw died last saturday of kidney cancer.
although not a jw, his wife also a non jw asked an elder to do his service.
this at the request of his jw mother, who by the way is very inactive.
Thanks to those who read my thread and shared their experiences.
